Since 1913, the Montague Golf Club has been open for play. It is the second oldest operating golf course in Vermont and is “Vermont’s best kept secret”. Major improvements were made to the course in 2006, with a new irrigation system, rebuilt or reconditioned greens and new sand in all bunkers. The front nine is lined by maple and pine trees and runs along side the Third Branch of the White River. Montague’s back nine is more of an open “links-style”, with rolling fairways and sloping land. The fairways are lined with tall heather grasses. This combination makes for a very interesting 6,300-yard eighteen-hole golf course. Come and play!
